Regarding your segment on the Trop’s stained glass and the similar glass at Bill’s. I think that the stained glass above the table games in the former Barbary Coast was taken out about the time of the conversion to Bill’s. I know I wanted to take some pictures of it two years ago last October and it was gone at that time.
The more I’ve been thinking about it, the less I’m sure about Barbary Coast’s casino ceiling. I don’t recall them making any changes to it when the property was converted to Bill’s. The place had a lot of stained glass, but I’m not so sure there was any on the ceiling above the casino pit. I was probably thinking of the stained glass dome in Micheal’s at Barbary.
I’m wrong about the stain glass. You are correct that there was no stained glass ceiling above the table games in the Barbary Coast. It was just a arched wood ceiling. I found some old photos that were taken just after the BC installed their stained glass mural “Garden of Earthly Delights” in 1984 and the ceiling above the table games shows only those chandeliers and the arched wood ceiling, no stained glass.
