Today would have been Hunter S. Thompson’s 75th birthday. So this seems like a good day to step away from your computer and pick up Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Long live HST.

“You can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.” -HST
You should download it into your Kindle app via the Amazon link on the right of your screen. I did.
It’s fun!
Thompson has influenced the past few generations with his invention of Gonzo Journalism. The Good Doctor broke the mold on writing and changed the world and the voice of counter-culture. His work and antics will live on to influence even more generations to come. I paid tribute to Hunter S Thompson and his work with my portrait and article on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/02/in-memoriam-hunter-s-thompson.html
