You may be right about the room tax thing. I’d also be willing to bet that with a hidden room tax, a property’s rates appear to be lower on search engines like Kayak and Expedia. I think the strategy is similar with airlines that charge baggage fees.

When I stayed at Mirage 2 years ago, they added a tax to the resort fee charge.
I completely agree with the smell at Aria. It is so overpowering, I cannot even gamble there. I think it smells like an old time perfume… Musk!

I personally love the sent when walking into the main entrance of NYNY… But maybe because I know the sent means my vacation has officially begun every time I go there.
