Tim, what ever happened to Troy from LV? He used to call in all the time…did I miss something?
Thanks for the podcast.
No… you didn’t miss anything. I’m not sure whether he still listens.
Hey Fivehundy. My group might be heading to Vegas the second or third week of October and we wondering about the pool situation, both in terms of the weather and, more important, in terms of when pools close for the winter. We found a great rate for Mandalay Bay during the third week of October, but maybe that means the pools are closed. Anybody know about the Mandalay, Cosmopolitan, Mirage and Tropicana pools in October?
Can’t wait to listen to the podcast
tour + viagra = viator. the some it’s the only way to see la cock.
oops. that’s for some…
HOW DARE YOU SAY POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT THE COSMO!
You are going to get kicked out of the Vegas Internet Mafia and the agenda they are trying to establish about how poorly run and operates the Cosmo is…
For Shame Tim and Michele For Shame!
Tim, hope the entire call came through this time. Did have to call back as the line did drop once, but figured it was me being so long winded and there being a time limit on calls. Let me know if it came through alright.

I hope they add ‘ Hangry ‘ to the dictionary. Great word I can relate to. Great show-joe
I say a big NO to the buffet at Nikki Beach. While the offerings were tasty, they were extremely sparse, with only 10 selections at best for breakfast. What’s more, there was an odd absence of toast, and when we asked about this, we were told toast was available but for a surcharge on top of the $15 we paid for breakfast.
With regards to the Freemont Street alcohol. There are actually signs that say something like “consumption within 100 feet of any place selling this is illegal”. Do cops actually harass about this? It made me not buy in the past because of this.
C in NC,
I’ve probably done it four or five times without incident. They put the alcohol in a tiny brown bag when they sell it to you, and at the store I frequent (near the pizza place under the canopy) there’s a trash can just outside the store… full of empty tiny brown bags.
BTW the guy who called in as Vince Neil was nice to me and played along even though he was obviously Bret Michaels, not Vince Neil. I was in no condition to differentiate between the two. Anyway, Tim, I’m pretty certain you’ve seen the Bret Michaels impersonator on Fremont; he’s there all the time and he looks just like Bret and not nearly so much like Vince.

You did not try the poop cakes at Wicked Spoon? Joyce loved them, supposedly very tasty.
Surprised that the giant shoes were not mentioned.
Totally agree with Paris, perfectly situated now as a lower cost alternative if planning to spend a lot of time at Cosmo. Don’t really like the casino, but hey PHo and Cosmo within a few minutes walk.
Hey Blackjack Ploppy!
The weather in Las Vegas in October is at best 70-80s during the day. All of the big hotels have at least some pool area opens year round. The “pool” clubs like Moorea and Bare might be open only from Thurs thru Mon during that late part of the year. So call them if you are planning on going to one. I love going at that time of the year because it is not so hot , it gives me the last feel of summer before winter, and not so crowded at the pools.
Good Luck!
Terry
