Yeah…your right….Star Trek fans are a bunch a geeks!!! 🙂 (Now about that T-Pol character on Star Trek Enterprise….hubba hubba….nice cha-chas…LOL)
Did you see “Borg4D”? or get a drink at Quarks Bar? I had a “Warp Core Breach” there, a large and Strong drink! TPol is the hottest trek chick since 7 of 9. 😛
Sorry the Geek in me coming out…lol 🙂
Come to think of it, that Yoshi character is kinda HOT too, but only the “alternative universe” version (i.e. evil Yoshi).
Hey…wait a minute…I’m not a geek…no really…..not a geek…..really…… 🙂
Why show a movie that relies on its verbal vulgarity on such a channel?
Dan
I’m not a Trekkie at all so I don’t know if this is good or bad. Apparently Matt Damon is playing James T. in the next movie.
If Owen Wilson plays Spock, I’m there.
Bring back Shatner for one more!
The LV Hilton is a real nice place to gamble. I found the limits to be surprisingly reasonable, even though when I was visiting, they were hosting a pretty big convention back in May.
I don’t know if they are still there, but there was a bank of $1 9/6 Jacks or better machines right by the poker room and sportsbook.
The buffett is also great because there are 2-1 coupons to be had around the casino and you get free wine and beer with the dinner. The food is actually quite good as well.
Great job with the Monorail / LV Hilton soundseeing tour! That “Monorail Now Arriving” announcement preceeded by the signature four-note alert is one of the sounds that I clearly remember and definitely associate with being in Las Vegas, so it was nice to hear that again.
Maybe someone else can chime in, but I can’t seem to figure out how you ended up at the north entrance of the Hilton after exiting the monorail station. I’ve always ended up at the entrance which leads right into the Spacequest Casino, so maybe you left the station and took the sidewalk to the north entrance? Not a big deal, but on the plus side, I don’t think you would have seen the iPod vending machine if you had gone the other way.
A friend and I tried the LV Hilton Buffet this past April (we used the ACG 2-for-1) coupon, and I agree that their buffet is very good. The buffet line itself may not be as large as others in town, but nonetheless I found the selection to be very good and the food to be excellent. That, combined with the good VP paytables in the sportsbook and the overall spaciousness of the casino and sportsbook, make the Hilton a great property to visit in Las Vegas, even if it is a little out of the way.
The Hilton is a friendly place but the comps have become les for the last rtwo years. Originally you got cash and food, now you get cash ot food. Also the comp points disappear after six months not 13 as before.
It is a fun cosino with relative loose slots.
The buffet is resonalble and the free beer and wine is a bonus. When you check in they gave usa book with a 2 for 1 for 10 people.
Dan
BTW Michelle, the Millenium Falcon is Star Wars not Star Trek. Horrors!!
The entrance you came in is from the self park and timeshare building. we are very familiar with it as we stayed at the time share two years ago.
The sign is huge. When we walked from Harrah’s (3.4 miles) we kept saying the casino is right there.
loved this episdode…hope we’ll hear a lot more soundseeing after this trip
but “water sports?”
Agree Brian, but the additional Flicker photos of the monorail ride really gave the dialog a frame of reference. I suppose the next logical step would be a Flash Slideshow (video) with audio commentary. Wow! what an idea! 🙂 I’m sure that Tim could crank that out in no time, given his multimedia skills. 😉
I was hoping for a picture to go along with the “one cherry short of a whole pie” line. I thought we had a Jani Lane celebrity sighting there for a second.
Anyway, H20 may not really be better than please please me, but I’ll take Oate’s over any tv show where aliens all look just like regular people only with wrinkled foreheads or pointy ears.
Love you guys, but the last show was boring. Try throwing in a couple of candid interviews with some kooky people. It sometimes sounds like you are two ghosts that can see everyone, but no one can see you.
Like I said, I love you guys, but get a little crazy … IT’S VEGAS!!!!!
When can we expect pictures of the Barbary get together?
Pictures would be great. I have wondered what you guys look like.
This is kind of old, but there are new developments on the MonkeyPokerDome front. PokerShare plans on trying to enter a money in the World Series Of Poker:
My favorite post (on another message board) about it:
Hellmuth raises, Mikey the Chimp goes all-in…
…Helmuth calls. Mikey shows 94, Helmuth shows QQ. The flop is 344…
With the WSOP going on, I saw this article on a poker site about the ‘Ins and Outs of Las Vegas’. It contains some interesting thoughts…like dropping $350/bottle for liquor.
They’re back!!!!! Looks like Tim & Michelle are back from Vegas, as the FHBM web page banner has changed. Looks like Tim really did wear his “black” FHBM t-shirt to the Barbary back bar. But what’s up with that “girly” drink? LOL.
Tim & Michel, I believe the neon thingy that you saw at the Star Trek Experience was suppose to be the Warp Core used in the Warp Drive.

Did you catch Swingers on TBS the other night?
Why did half the words not match the lips?
