Finally the podcast……..thanks guys……it was good hearing from you two again. Sorry that you didn’t have any luck, I had none on my trip a few weeks ago either. I am actually thinking about going back for the closing of the Boardwalk. Will be looking forward to hear more from your trip. One last thing you guys went to the Ho and NO HO DOG?!?!?!?! The Ho Dog is an institution!!!!!!!!!!
Well Tim, I flopped the nut straight at the Wynn and lost a $240 hand tot he guy who flopped 2nd nuts with QQQ and made his FH. I put him all in on the flop with 2 re-raises and that was the beginning of the end for my winning streak. Wynn sucks, MGM does not. I hit a 3 team NFL parlay for $140, won $150 at craps and then cleared another $170 at $1 $2 NL Holdem there. WYnn took it all back in 60 minutes. I blame Mr. Wynn personally for my losses : ) It was gr8 to meet you and your lovely wife, but my own wife was disappointed at not getting to meet her. She always remarks about how sweet she sounds on the podcast. Tell Sigfried I said hello. Trip reposrt coming soon at htpp://badbeatbbq.blogspot.com
I tend to not believe it, but read it for yourself and form your own opinions.
Another good show. Glad that the in-store went well.
We’ve been to Peppermill’s three of the five times we’ve been to Vegas. We saw it mentioned in a couple of guidebooks when we planned our first trip and it seemed up our alley. Yeah, the waitresses are very sexy. I was wondering if you were going to mention that.
As for Brunson, look on the bright side, at least you didn’t have an O’Shea’s experience with him!
Yeah, that suite is very 1980s. I was in Atlantic City in March and the Trump Plaza had kind of the same feel to it, with the black and deep red. I thought it was the hotel equivalent of a Cosby sweater…
I have to say the Peppermill’s Fireside Lounge is fantastic. We always stop in for brunch before we hit the road back to L.A. They put in the TV’s about a year ago and the programing they show is quite strange. But I guess they want something for everyone. If you ever eat there, be sure to get their spinich salad. Or even the pancakes, they’re huge, like a small pillow.
I always enjoy hearing your reactions just after a Vegas tip. Wish Lady Luck had smiled more. Perhaps you were too hard on Mr. Brunson, though. While a hand wash is surely mandatory for number two, I think, while not recommended, one can get away without one, for a number one, in a pinch. Still, in the best of all possible worlds, we should all observe proper hygiene.
I’m glad to hear that your Apple Appearance went well. I wish I could have been there, but being in pennsylvania it wasn’t possible. A while back you mentioned going to Atlantic City, did you go yet? Maybe you can do something like that for the East Coast listeners. That would be GREAT! I would love to meet you guys and thank you in person for many hours of enjoyment listening to your show.
Hey Tim and Michelle! We also visited the Peppermill on our recent visit and said exactly the same stuff you did – weird music mix, cool decor, and great drinks. We actually ended up in there prior to lunch and we’d missed breakfast, so in your honour we had 2 Strawberry Daiquiris for breakfast!!! Next time you’re there do try the diner part too. I’m vegetarian and the veggie burger there was easily the best I’ve ever eaten.
The Peppermill Lounge and Restaurant are cool. We have been there several times. Thanks for the “sweet” pics of the Barbary Coast. We are headed to Vegas in December and are staying at the sister casino, Orleans. You guys are great.
In Las Vegas as I write.
Unfortunately our resort doesn’t have high speed and the podcast is unlistenable on dial up.
Will have to wait until we get back, but wanted to let you know that we shared a Megadog and as Michelle said it was surprisingly good.

Hey guys, thanks so much for this podcast. I, like others have admitted to, have listened to all your podcasts with a single big-ass download beginning around #20. From that point on I look forward to your Vegas input. This one struck home when you stayed in the Barbary suite. I have stayed there, and enjoyed it, a few times although never in a suite. After looking at the pictures it will certainly be part of my next vegas visit plans. Long live the BurgerPipe and washing your hands in the presence of Podcasters! Ohhh…and I really like the new website banner…very cool!

Read a rumor that IP, Harrah’s and Flamingo are to close in 2007. This is still a rumor and haven’t seen any official confirmation yet.
